The location is great, it is right on the beach and an easy walk into Holetown. The landscaped grounds are lovely, with plenty of sunloungers and parasols to enjoy them.

Mixed feelings, but beautiful resort

The landscape is like a tropical lagoon, it's absolutely gorgeous. Breakfast is great with so much selection. Many staff were so hospitable and friendly. Open concept layout of the resort towards the beach which was beautiful. Sunsets are just breathtaking I can't say how much staff were so friendly

We had the swim up room and most of the time it was very dirty it felt almost unswimmable, and smelt like a bird bath. It's outdoors so can happen, and to be fair I think it was mostly just our suite since we had a lot of trees and bushes around it. Still, a really cool concept Also I feel for the price it should have been all inclusive. A similar resort even closer to holetown had some similar priced pool side rooms and were all inclusive still. Food options are about a 20 min walk to holetown, or the resorts expensive lunch and dinner menus. Again to be fair, resorts are expensive in barbados Getting in touch with the resort through this app was also VERY HARD, it took multiple days, messages and multiple expensive long distance calls to let them know my flight was cancelled and to move the stay dates since the app wasn't letting me do it myself as the flight cancelation was the day before the stay

Cozy & quite resort in St. James!

Cozy resort with private beach, spa, gym and pool, it has everything you need. Very nice breakfast. Close to Holetown (15 min walking distance).

The hotel doesn't have all-inclusive formula, which for the location of the resort would be ideal, since there are not many places to go around for dinner/lunch. You will end up with a nice bill for every extra (lunch, dinner, drinks, etc.). also, the menu offered doesn't change, so we ate all week the same stuff, except for a couple nights we went out to Bridgetown (taxis from the hotel are quite expensive...rent your own car!)

Stayed twice , with a one week villa stay in between, really enjoyed both visits

Breakfast was outstanding, with a really wide choice of fruit, continental breakfast and full cooked breakfast. Wonderful open air restaurant

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Colony Club. We were made to feel welcome by the friendly staff.

Excellent Breakfasts! Canapes on the beach were a pleasant surprise. Dinner food was excellent. Water sports were excellent. Another hobie cat would be welcome as the one available was constantly in use. Friendly staff.

Some wines on the menu were not in stock. Restaurant service a little slow sometimes.

enjoyable and relaxing

Breakfast very good every day

our tv in the room did not work , it took several days to find out you had to turn the tv off at the socket then turn it back on to find the wifi connection every time you used it which was a pain ............also our shower door leaked water every time you had a shower so the floor was soaking unless you put towels down to soak up the water................believe it or not we stayed in the same room 3 years ago and the shower had the same problem then !...........................however the rest of the holiday was great, been back to the hotel 5 times now and will go back again, even with the above ( hopefully they will of sorted this out for next time we go )_ !

Awesome, Relaxing, Romantic, Wonderful

We were attending Barbados for a wedding. Guests were spread over various hotels. The hotel was immaculate. We visited a few other hotels to see friends and we walked away very happy with what we had in comparison. the destination on the west coast meant warm water, calm water and beautiful miles and miles of sand. We swam with turtles, snorkelled. the resort is so relaxing. highly recommend

Quite far from outside resteraunts so would be cheaper if you had a hire car if you want to eat outside the hotel for a change but that is pushing me to find fault.

It was ok.

It was in a good location. Beach is nice.

Staff seemed like they were misserable, makes you wonder the level of effort that goes on behind the scenes. Coffee was the worst. Buffett was ok. overall a bit tired looking.

Excellent, Friendly & Relaxing!

Beautiful hotel if you like nature. This was our second visit to that hotel and our 3rd visit to Barbados. Very attractive gardens and nice beach, ideal swimming conditions, no seaweeds during our stay in June. Plenty of beach umbrellas and comfortable sunbeds too. Very attentive pool/beach staff, especially the beach attraction team. The watersports team is also great, they were teaching us to sail and water ski. The daily breakfast buffet had very fresh food of wide variety. The daily treats served on the beach (canapes, frozen grapes, ice cream, cold face towels) were a nice surprise! We highly recommend renting a car and taking a drive around the Island.

It would be great if the hotel had its own souvenir shop (beach bags, baseball caps, thermoses, T-shirts, etc.).

Best part of the stay was leaving to come home.

Beautiful and well maintained gardens. Well furnished and maintained rooms

Service poor. Staff took little notice of requests for certain foods. E.g. we asked for soya milk several times and the staff brought cows milk instead which we found out after drinking it..This led to allergic reaction, that lasted until our return to the UK. This is worrying if you have a severe nut allergy. Bed sheets don’t fit the bed so you’ll be up at night remaking the bed. No usable dressing table and mirror. Espresso machine in the room unusable as cups provided don’t fit. Requested cups to fit Espresso machine and an extension lead for hair dryer, our repeated requests were ignored. Service and attention to detail worthy of two star rating. Note, management sympathetic and make all the right noises but nothing really changes.

Superb relaxing time in a beautiful beach hotel.

The location is very convenient with easy access to many good restaurants just a short taxi ride away. The free water sports made for a great deal of fun and welcome relief, when required from just laying around on sun beds. The staff at the hotel generally were very friendly and always helpful with the odd exception. Food at the hotel was superb as the day starts with a great breakfast!

The early start to reserve a sunbed on the beach was a pain but proved necessary if you wanted to avoid being under a tree all day! The evening entertainment was not at the level I would expect. Birds in the restaurant were a nuisance but that is what you get with an open dining room so not a major issue. Some investment is needed in the rooms, particularly the shower to maintain a 4 Star standard.

The fact that you had to be on the beach by 7am to get a sunbed for the day. For what you pay to stay you should be guaranteed a sunbed !!!
